#610: Project Management Self-Efficacy: Bridging the Skill Gap with Transformational Learning Experiences and Industry Engagement

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Have you questioned whether project management course learning objectives can adequately prepare our workforce to be successful in "real" work environments? You are not alone! This session will outline the process by which project management learning programmes can positively influence student, faculty, industry and community outcomes. We now know that technical skill alone will not prepare students to be successful in future work environments. This session will utilise original PMSE research results to bring to life an integrated approach to creating a transformational learning experience.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
(1) assess baseline project manager skills, decrease scrap learning, and continuously revise project management development curriculum utilising a domain-specific self-efficacy;
(2) formulate innovative ways to integrate technical skill development and learning activities focused on self-awareness to build PMSE and improve project outcomes.
